JOHNSON COUNTY RIGHT TO LIFE NEWS RELEASE  February 23, 2009

PRO-LIFE ACTION DAY

Members of Johnson County Right to Life will join thousands of Pro-
Life supporters wearing red from all over Missouri, including about 125
men, women and children from Johnson County, in Jefferson City
for Pro-Life Action Day, hosted by Missouri Right to Life, Tuesday,
March 10, at the Missouri State Capitol.

Purpose of the Action Day is to let the State Legislators hear their
Pro-Life constituents’ support for important legislative priorities,
including: mandatory ultrasounds before abortions; protecting women from
coerced abortions; informing mothers that a baby feels pain during an
abortion; promoting a complete ban on all human cloning in Missouri; and
a Resolution opposing the Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA).

According to Johnson County Right to Life chairman, Tom Fitzpatrick,
“March 10 gives families a great opportunity to visit their legislators
to see how the legislative process works and to urge them to protect life.”

Information packets and workshops will be offered on the 3rd Floor
Rotunda of the Capitol from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., explaining this year’s
proposed legislation.

Ample time will be available to visit state representatives and
senators to enable Pro-Life supporters to present their views, including
31st District Senator David Pearce, and Representatives Michael McGhee,
Denny Hoskins, and Scott Largent from the 122nd, 121st and 120th
Districts, respectively.

Please join us for the April meeting of Johnson County Right to Life is scheduled
Monday, April 13, from 7 to 8 p.m., at the Warrensburg Community Center, 445
East Gay Street.
Created by Jack Cashill and Michael Wunsch, and narrated by actress Jennifer
O'Neill, the 50 minute, professionally made movie provides audiences with a
stirring insight into the Pro-Life Movement through the passion, the sincerity, and
the simple eloquence and visual appearances of the young prople participating in
the March for Life in Washington, D.C., January 22, 2009.

A packed house at the Rio Theater in suburban Kansas City, gave "Thine Eyes" a
rousing, standing ovation.  Jack received these first two unsolicited emails which
he says are the norm.

"Wow, what a movie.  I thought it would be a "home made" video but was I
surprised. That was a very professional, emotional, thought provoking, beautiful
piece of work. I was so surprised that so many young people were so involved in
the cause."

"You and your colleagues have made a powerful movie. There are many of us who
are very grateful for the time, effort, sacrifice and vision you have devoted to this
great cause."

Jack Cashill and the people who produced the movie feel this way.  "To the
degree that we can get this documentary in front of the audience is the degree
which we can correct the image of the Pro-Life Movement in America."

Many of you may remember Jack Cashill as the guest speaker at the Vitae Caring
Foundation dinner in the University Union Ballroom in April 2004. During his
presentation, he introduced us to the late, great man, Greg Hawley, who found and
'raised' the Steamship Arabia from an eastern Kansas field, and created a
museum to share this historical treature. What an extraordinary team they made
that evening to a most-welcoming Johnson County audience!

Jack is a man of many talents. He is an independent writer and producer and, on
a contractual basis, the Executive Editor of Ingram's Magazine, Kansas City's
premier business magazine. He is an accomplished  author. Within the last five
years he has written one novel and five books of non-fiction, three of which have
cracked Amazon's top ten list. Jack has also produced a dozen or more
documentaries for regional PBS and national cable channels, including the Emmy
Award-winning, "The Royal Years."

Jack has hosted daily talk radio shows in Kansas City for five years, four with
KMBZ, and one with Catholic Family Radio's national network.  He has a Ph.D. from
Purdue University in American studies, has taught media and literature at Purdue
and at Kansas City area universities, and served as a Fulbright professor in
France.

Jack Cashill will be introducing "Thine Eyes" and will take questions before and
after the showing. I have asked him to bring DVD copies of the movie which will be
available for $20.

Please come and invite your friends to join us Wednesday, May 20th, at 7:30 p.m,
in the Kitterman Room at the UCM University Union. You are in for a real treat in
listening to, meeting and talking with Jack Cashill.  Topping that, "Thine Eyes" will
provide you with a certain emotional contact with the marchers who came to
Washington, D.C. last January for Life.
